North Carolina people are nice, but come at inconvenient times and take over life. I feel bad, but I usually don't have too much time to hang out with them except sometimes at night.

Today was my last day of work for break. If I end up at Riverside again this summer, I'd like to work there. I was just starting to get to know my coworkers. Some of them are pretty great.
Reading has continued. On Sunday I finished The Catcher in the Rye. On Monday I read Suicide Notes by Michael Thomas Ford. Tuesday was Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin, and tonight I read Liar by Justine Larbalestier. Reading this much always makes my dreams much more interesting. All were pretty good. They were all YA fiction, so they were the kind of books where you can forget that you are reading, and just keep moving with the story. It's surprisingly easy to find that you've read 100 pages without realizing it. It's funny, though. All the books (randomly found in wanderings at the library) happened to be set in New York, and the last three were around the same timeline. I have three other books that I haven't read, but I don't know if I want to start any of them since I will have to return them Saturday. On Sunday, I go back to Ohio.
The glee club guys come on Friday, which will be awesome. It is all I have had to look forward to this break, though the break turned out to be surprisingly fun. Sarah and I had a Harry Potter night on Monday, and then went out to dinner with an old work friend on Tuesday (Eric). I hadn't seen him since the summer before college started, so he was a bit taken aback with the black hair and whatnot, but otherwise things were as comfortable as they used to be, which was nice. He was/is one of the few people I have known where everything we're doing is seamless, somehow. We used to be a pretty good team at work. Not that pizza making takes a lot, but still. Still.
In other news, a high school senior at work asked me for my number and it was funny/awkward/weird. I don't get hit on much, but when it happens, there is always some strange element. At least I wasn't asked to a high school dance this time.

I got the ugliest sweater ever for Christmas, and it is awesome. Also, Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, which is hopefully going to be as great as his other books, and headphones so I don't have to maneuver the cord around until at least one side works anymore. Both can!
I checked out too many books at the library, and sadly, An Abundance of Katherines was not one of them. I was mistaken. Fortunately, another book that John Green wrote part of was available. It is called Let it Snow, and for being a collection of romances centered around Christmas (I read it anyway because of the John Green and Maureen Johnson factor), it was excellent. Very, very good, actually. I started Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult tonight and it is quite enjoyable thus far, as books by Jodi Picoult really only can be. Unfortunately, there is a lot about babies right now, and talk of dilating to ten centimeters makes me want to hurl a little bit. Kids=never. Dogs=forever.
Jessi is awesome, by the way. She has stolen my bed twice now, but lets me squeeze in with her, and it is nice and she is cute and I want to take her to Ohio with me and cuddle with her forever.
Only two more weeks of this.

Break is okay so far. I am really just living on the thought that the glee club kids are coming in nineteen days. I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet, and I am responsible for a minimum of eight people in my family. Oops.
I requested a bunch of books from the library before coming down. Yesterday, I got emails saying that four of the books were in, but unfortunately the library is closed on Sundays and Mondays. I have one book that I'm probably going to finish tonight or tomorrow. Since this past Wednesday or Thursday, I have read Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns by John Green and I'm almost done with Beauty Queen by Linda Glovach, which is all about heroin and I'm not really a fan of it. The John Green books were excellent though, which was good because I really like him as a person and I would have been disappointed if the books weren't as great as the author himself. There were a lot of similarities between the two, what with them both being about kooky, mysterious girls who vanish (albeit one dies), leaving an insecure, totally average boy that the girl happened to have some meaningful relationship with to search for the meaning in her absence. That said, An Abundance of Katherines is waiting to be picked up at the library, and it's probably the one I am most looking forward to reading.
Julia Nunes has taken over my music life again after helping me through finals week.
Speaking of which, I ended up with a 74.4 (C+) in Chemistry, which is amazing for me. It was also my lowest score of the semester, so hopefully my poor, chemistry-ravaged GPA will begin to make a recovery.

I forgot that Thanksgiving is incredibly boring, especially when you're not allowed to help.
Tomorrow night, come sooner. I want my doggggg.

Don't worry. I am aware of how bad that paper was. Those geology papers are the kind where you write as much as you can and then go back and add random sentences to add length.

Kiva has decided to be extremely annoying. If she weren't also extremely cute (and hadn't been cuddled up in the blankets of my bed when I came home today) I probably would have drop-kicked her off the table by now, because that's how we deal with things in this house.
...Er, by "that," I mean drop-kicking things. Not animal abuse.

It sounds strange, but really, these are good kids. They were both freshmen in the Miami band last year. I know you don't know them, but she is a creative writing major who does NaNoWriMo (Amy...). And she is a very nice girl. I want to continue knowing her.

Heidi once showed me this girl (Julia Nunes), and I am currently a bit obsessed with some of her songs. I mean, really. Anyone who can be this awesome while playing the ukulele is worth a little internet stalking. I guess this means I should go stalk Heidi a bit too since she fits those qualifications.
Today Shannon (cousin) and I went to lunch with our grandpa (old) and he told us about how our uncle was once in a band with Shannon's pastor, which isn't funny to any of you, but is hilarious, because the members of the band are now pastors, dead, and produce managers at Kroger, respectively. They went far.

The trip actually was not so bad. It took up time that I would have otherwise spent on counting down the days to moving back to Oxford (23). I like the Back-To-School part of the year, possibly due to my obsession with office supplies. I realized today that when passing an aisle of notebooks, my mind literally stops everything else and says, "OH MY GOSH SCHOOL SUPPLIES." I rarely buy anything, but I love looking at them. It is probably because they often come in a rainbow of colors. Speaking of rainbows, I got another rainbow headband at Walmart the other day, and saw the one I already own at Target today.
I walked into the CDs section and a six or seven year old girl was there with her father. When I arrived, the following transgressed:
LG: Hi!
ME: Hello!
LG: You're pretty.
ME: Oh...okay.
LG: It's my mom's birthday!
ME: My mom's birthday was last week (then I realized that it was actually several weeks ago).
LG: I got her this card! *opens the card, which has cats on it, and it starts meowing*
ME: My aunt gave me a barking card for my birthday! Do you like cats?
LG: Yes! I have a cat! He looks like this one the most! *points to cat on card*
ME: Nice. I like dogs.
And that was pretty much it. Her dad just kept browsing through the CDs while we talked. Yup.
Also, my mom went out for a while, so I played guitar and sang. Apparently she came home without me noticing, because she showed up in my doorway and now will not let it go. Hooray!
Also, I saw Jenn and Harley today.
I am making a tag called "little girls," because that's just funny to me.

I suck at the internet lately. I have stopped caring about it. Oops. But now that my friends are only in the internet again, I suppose I'll be back.
Ohio was wonderful.
I haven't slept much in a while.
Driving across Spaghetti Junction in LOST-quality rain today was amazing. My dad was quite nervous.

Why does Jennifer Aniston never wear a bra? This has bugged me for years. How was Friends appropriate for television with her nipples poking out all over the place? Google image search her name and it quickly becomes clear that this isn't just a Friends thing. She is a good actress (beyond the part that no matter what her role is, she is still Rachel in every way) but I would like to have seen her nipples fewer times in my life.
That's all I'm saying.
Edit-
This sounds terrible, but I googled "Jennifer Aniston nipples" (NOT on image search, thank you) and first it tried to fill in the rest to say "Jennifer Aniston nipples in friends" but after just going with the first choice I saw this (from http://thesuperficial.com/2008/07/jenni fer_aniston_what_is_this.php):
Suddenly, Jennifer Aniston's nipple sonar went off: Somebody was popping nips and their name wasn't Jennifer Aniston.
"I'll see about this," Jennifer said. She quickly turned to her assistant. "Ice me."
"But, miss-"
"I SAID, 'ICE ME!'"
Several cold seconds later, Jennifer Aniston's nipples were primed like rockets in a missile silo. She motioned for her driver to stop near a pack of paparazzi. Jessica Alba, Rihanna: a day of reckoning is upon thee.
Jennifer Aniston exited the vehicle and immediately began pointing at objects with almost laser-guided precision. Inside her head a maniacal, yet genius, monologue ensued:
"Is that a rock? Now it's a rock being pointed at by my nipples. What are you drinking? A latte? Now it's a latte being pointed at by my nipples. Say, is that a bird?"
That's all I'm saying.
